A ‘goals’ post
How the new and improved goals work
Chip has a new update. So we’re now on officially on Chip 2.1. Exciting times! The biggest change has been to the goals feature.
Check out what we’ve done and see how you can use goals to make the things you want to happen, happen.
Set multiple goals 🏆
We know this is what you want. You’ve been asking us about building it ever since we launched. So we’re pleased to say you can now set multiple goals!
Just tap the ‘create goal’ button and add a new goal. It’s pretty simple.
Our chatbot will take you through the rest, asking you:
What you want to call your goal
How much you need to save to hit your goal
Whether you want to put any of the money in your Chip account towards it
You can set up to three goals in total (we suggest short, mid and long term goals).
Select an #inspirational image 🖼️
We’ve pulled together a library of images you can choose between, we hope you find them inspirational.
Before you ask, the ability to add your own images should be coming in one of the next few releases!
Split your saves between your different goals 🍰
You can allocate a different percentage of your saves towards different goals.
For example, you can put 20% of saves towards a holiday, 40% towards a house deposit, and 20% towards a rainy day fund.
We’ve built a smart little calculator that can help you decide how to split up your goals.
Set an end date 📆
Set an end date and see if you’re on track to reach your goal.
It can also help you decide if you’re being too ambitious (i.e. will it take you until 2050 to save up £2,000).
