Chip 2.0 takes goals to a whole new level. 🏆
With the new ‘Goals’ section of the app savers can now tell Chip what they are saving for, when they want to hit that goal and even add friends to a goal!
Over the last 18 months we have learnt that what makes “good saving” is being able to identify what each save stands for. Just saving for the sake of saving is not motivating. But saving for something in particular (and seeing what that thing is!) encourages our savers. What are you saving for? We want each person to know what they’re saving for and to know when they’ll get there!
The new Goals interface incorporates this idea at it’s heart. A big, visual interface that allows the saver to see the goal right in front of them. For those techies among you, we have integrated Unsplash’s API that automatically pulls in a beautiful image based on keyword recognition. Have a play with Unsplash here (TeamChip are huge fans).
As we mentioned a key element of the new Goals interface is being able to tell Chip when you want to hit your goal by. The way this will work is that savers tell Chip how much their goal is. Chip will then display a calendar at a date where it thinks is achievable (see below). This date is calculated based on the savers AI-powered automatic save calculation. Chip will recommend a date - if the user wants to hit the goal quicker they can either program Chip to save more aggressively, spend less in their day to day (Chip will then save more), or the user can boost a goal with a manual save.
Now over to you! We want to know what you think.
First we have 4 design options we want your thoughts on:
This screen let’s you change what percentage of your saves go to each Goal.
Date Selection Screen
This is where Chip will let you select a date!
We’d love to know any additional feedback on the above too! What do you think about Goal based saving? What are you saving for?! What’s missing from Chip’s goals in the app now?
How many Goals would you want?
